Do your doubts make you feel isolated, alone, stranded?

We all have seasons of questioning and unrest in our souls, where we have insecurities, misgivings, and we need to be encouraged OR reaffirmed. Sometimes it’s even more than that.

We need to be convinced again what we are doing is right. Established in God’s will for us. We wonder if we missed it?  Didn’t have ears to hear yet? We question if we are doing this in our will and emotions? Are we able to hear God?

All of this is normal. And it’s OK to question.

Thomas’s doubts are a great example. But how could God be ok with those doubts? He actually rewarded Thomas for doubting it seems.

OR did Jesus reward Thomas because He refused to get His answers from anyone BUT the Lord Himself.

Where do you go for the answers to your questions? I have standers tell me they are quitting because they received the answers to their questions.

  • Their spouse married the other person.
  • Their pastor told them it was time to move on.
  • God sent them the perfect new person who loves them.
  • Their best friend told them God would not want them to suffer and wants them to he happy.
  • Nothing has changed or it got worse. I guess God answered me because it’s taking to long.
  • We had a false start again, God must not want to restore us.

I could keep going. I could give you a million reasons why you should quit. But none of them will be right.

Thomas refused to believe the other disciples, brothers in the Lord that he should have trusted and taken their word for.

But He could not. He needed Jesus to tell him Himself.

Something that important, He needed His God to tell Him so there was no room for error. No misunderstanding or miscommunication. He needed to touch his hands and side and experience it. And Jesus tells him to stop doubting and believe Him after he shows him proof.

Jesus also addresses those who don’t need to see to believe. They have made a choice and stand upon their decision.

He says “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed.” John 20:29

It’s OK to need proof to help reestablish your shaky footing. But WHERE you find it is the most important thing.

The enemy will take advantage of your weakness, of your doubts. He will exploit your fears and pride. Hit you where you at vulnerable.

Do you need to be settled back on His will and path for you?

Eyes UP. Focus UP.
Fast. Pray.
Silence the noise and distraction and seek HIM.

He WANTS TO SHARE WITH YOU!

7“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

9“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7 NIV

Standing with you,
