Frustrated with your spouse’s rebellion, blindness, stubbornness? Do you often ask “Why won’t they just change? Why are they doing this? God, why won’t you answer my prayers and stop this madness?”

What if God is trying to do more, MUCH more than just bring your spouse home. What if He is concerned far more with what happens when your spouse returns home. Will the husband be the headship and love his wife as Christ loves the church? Will the wife return and be her husband’s helpmeet? Will you both put God first, both serve the Lord? Or will either or both of you hear, “depart from Me, I never knew you.”

The saving of souls takes PRECEDENCE over the saving of your marriage?  Since His desire is for NONE to perish, then we look to His Word for understanding about HOW He goes about it. He draws them. He uses what they have chosen to allow them to be snared until they turn to HIM alone, not themselves, not a person, not a good plan, HIM–to be set free. He allows their choice to place them into blindness where they are asleep until His perfect timing awakens them.

Sometimes we can cause ourselves so much anger and bitterness when we put all the blame onto our spouse, as to why they are not able to free themselves. And then we get angry at God for things we don’t understand. We can’t lean on our own understanding. This is a journey to enlightenment. A process that helps us become aware of who God is, and all that has been hidden from us. We have come to the time and season in our life, where God is going to reveal many things.

It’s time to open your heart to this being about MORE than God saving your marriage.

Here are just a few scriptures that will help you understand that your spouse is snared. God is after a heart change, a turning to Him, repentance. And until they do, they are kept blind and trapped until they cry out to Him.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.

John 6:44
“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Deuteronomy 29:4
Yet to this day the LORD has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

Romans 11:8
as it is written: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see, and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”

Proverbs 20:12
The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD appeared to him from afar: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving devotion.

Hosea 11:4
I led them with cords of kindness, with ropes of love; I lifted the yoke from their necks and bent down to feed them.

Standing with you,
