In Colossians 2, Paul shares a concern over new believers that they will not get led astray by others who have a way with words. In hIs letter to the people of Laodicea, Paul shares his anxieties and what he hopes and asks for in prayer.

If you have a lost spouse who is snared and captivated by others who have wrong heart motives and intentions toward your spouse, pray the Words that Paul prayed!

Standing with you, Sheila

Father, I come before You asking in thanksgiving and praise, making my requests known to you for my Beloved who has been misled and deluded by plausible and persuasive, attractive arguments and beguiling speech. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. Romans 16:18

My hope is for my Beloved’s heart to be encouraged and knit together in love with those who have GODLY morals and put Your will and purpose above their own selfish will so that my Beloved will have all the riches that come from the full assurance of understanding the joy of Salvation which will result in a TRUE and more INTIMATE knowledge of Jesus. I pray they find their purpose and identity in Him, whom are hidden ALL the treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge, regarding the Word and purposes of God.

Father, I pray the snare be broken off them through Your drawing them to truth, so their hearts would change and they would be led to repentance and freedom through Your goodness. I pray my spouse comes to love and desire the truth, the teaching of Christ and that their heart would be filled with the full measure that Your Word brings.

In Jesus’ Name, I pray,
Amen

Colossians 2 AMP

2 (For my hope is) that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in (unselfish) love, so that they may have all the riches that come from the full assurance of understanding the joy of Salvation, resulting in a true (and more intimate) knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (regarding the Word and purposes of God).I say this in order that no one may mislead and delude you by plausible and persuasive and attractive arguments and beguiling speech.

8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Christ.
