Help for Sadness and Despair

The Holy Spirit is called the COMFORTER for a good reason.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever, John 14:16 ASV

This was one of those things that I truly had a hard time comprehending. That God could, or actually would LIFT MY MOOD. Take away my sadness and comfort my heart. BUT He made a firm believer out of me. I asked Him to help me, I read what the Word says and all of a sudden, the heaviness and dark cloud lifted. I could breathe again. Sometimes we are overwhelmed by sadness and it feels impossible that we could ever feel joy or happiness again. BUT God is our joy! He is our Delight!

Sadness can manifest through depression, suppressed anger, but the main cause is FEAR and WORRY! Those two things produce the fruit of hopelessness and despair. Look to God. He is THE ANSWER for all things. HE IS OUR HOPE! He is our ever-present help in times of troubles.

Stand Strong Standers. God loves us so much. I am praying for you!

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; …
