One of my favorite scriptures that helped me during my storm.
You need to come to a place where you deeply believe that everything, EVERY SINGLE thing (mistake, tear, hurt, pain, fear, anger, EVERYTHING) has a greater purpose and is not overlooked or discounted by God. There is a greater and more powerful thing going on. MORE than meets the eye. You just have to choose to believe this and embrace this.
This is why this scripture means so much to me. I had to speak it out and really chose to believe this. When I was hurting and things seemed so horrible and it felt WORSE. When I felt more broken, more defeated, more in despair, this scripture told me truth and what was REALLY going on.
Romans 5:1-5
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have a peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, IN WHICH WE STAND 2 through whom we have access by faith into this grace If God. 3 Not only that, but we also rejoice (boast) in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces PERSEVERANCE; 4 perseverance, CHARACTER; and character, HOPE. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
I have so much more perseverance, character, and hope. Things I did not have before my storm.
We are told to REJOICE in our sufferings. That means HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH!
You are not fighting for an unworthy cause. Marriage is worthy to be fought for but it’s THROUGH this fight that something is happening to us, not just anything but something VERY important!
Suffering perfects us so that we might:
So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Romans 6:13
and
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

Standing with you,
