When God? When Will You Restore My Marriage?

“When God? When?”

“When are You going to restore? Wake up my spouse? Will things EVERY change? Why am I still doing this?”

“The one who used to persecute us is now preaching the very faith he tried to destroy!”  And they glorified God because of me.… Galatians 1:23-24

Don’t lose hope in what God can do WITHIN your lost beloved. God can turn them, change them, REVEAL JESUS, and then use them to glorify HIM IN HIS TIMING!

It has to be the RIGHT time, not before or it won’t be a perfect time. Look at Paul and how long he persecuted Christians before God determined it was the RIGHT time to REVEAL Jesus to him.

BUT when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, WAS PLEASED TO reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, Galatians 1;15-16

And what was the VERY first thing Jesus said to Paul when He met him? He TOLD him ‘It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ Acts 9:5 NKJ(left out of many translations)

Paul was ready. With this pronouncement, Jesus REVEALS the internal struggle and battle Paul was enduring within as he tried to deny the truth. As he stubbornly, selfishly did what he wanted to do because he thought he was right and living in the truth. Paul was an educated and logical man, but was no match for his spirit within. And this spirit within would NOT remain quiet. It never does. There is always unrest, inner conflict for a child of God who is destined from the womb to be His, conflict happens when they are not in agreement with Him. God allows them a time of running away and hardness of heart. A time of seeking their own ambitions. God allows it because it’s EXTREMELY important for them to feel and experience the unrest, discomfort, the void to the fullest extent. To be overwhelmed by the darkness to the point where they are begging for the light and to be free. So when Jesus is finally revealed to them and says to their spirit ‘It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’  The lost agree wholeheartedly and are willing to repent. Willing to have their hearts changed and turned to surrender to Him fully.

This is why it is said, “NO ONE CAN COME TO ME UNLESS THE FATHER WHO SENT ME DRAWS THEM” John 6:44

WE, AS STANDERS, MUST EMBRACE THIS. Yield to God’s perfect timing and plan. Stop putting so much blame and judgment on the lost spouse regarding how long it’s taking.

If it was up to our impatience and selfishness, we would have them leave the place that is best for the saving of their souls just to ease our pain.

Our clock never seems to sync with Gods clock. And we are always trying to adjust His clock to fit our schedule. We will lose that battle. We need to sync with HIS TIMING and say “It is well with my soul. Let it be in Your perfect time Lord.”
