If your spouse is snared and you are looking for scriptures in the Word of God, then you have come to the right page! We have gathered many scriptures here that speak of FEAR OF THE LORD, WISDOM being what is needed to turn a person around and help them become free from their sins.
It does no good to pray for the snare to let them go, they will just step right into another one. We pray they learn to recognize the TRUTH about the snares. What they are, how to overcome them through desiring what pleases God, not pleasing the heart and flesh.
Turn any of these scriptures into prayers!
FEAR OF THE LORD
Father God, may our spouses come into a knowledge and understanding of FEAR OF THE LORD, may they recognize and understand with truth what it means for them if they don’t. May You be the only thing that they fear with not having a real relationship with them. In Jesus name, Amen
Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.
Joshua 4:24 He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the LORD’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the LORD your God forever.”
1 Samual 12:14 If you will fear the LORD and serve him and obey his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the LORD your God, it will be well.
Read Jeremiah 9, as it talks about the ways of the people who are in adultery. It’s so bad, that God wishes He could run and hide from them!
Jeremiah 9:7 Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty says: “See, I will refine and test them, [through suffering] for what else can I do because of the sin of my people?
WISDOM
Pray for God to bring into your spouse’s life one that is gifted in wisdom, for they are speaking words of LIFE from the Lord that turns a person and helps set them free from the snares.
Proverbs 13:14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning one from the snares of death.
Proverbs 20:5 shows that the heart is deep, very deep and hides and conceals things. But that a person with wisdom and understanding will be able to discern what is in the heart, reveal it and draw it to the surface. Think of them as someone gifted in recovery, that goes diving! They will be able to help you spouse to discover the hidden things in their heart!
The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.
OR
Though good advice lies deep within the heart, a person with understanding will draw it out. – Proverbs 20:5
